Mar Roxas eyed as troubleshooter

Manuel “Mar” Roxas 2nd will be his “chief troubleshooter” once the one-year prohibition on appointing losing candidates in the government lapses on June 30. Roxas was President Aquino’s running mate in the May 2010 polls but lost to then Mayor Jejomar Binay of Makati City.During an interview after the New Year’s vin d’honneur in Malacañang, the President confirmed that he will be tapping the expertise of Roxas in “so many aspects” once the one-year ban ends.“I will really be tapping his expertise in so many aspects. He might be one of my chief troubleshooters. If there’s something that needs more intense attention, I might ask him to do that if he’s willing,” Mr. Aquino said...
