KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato, Aug 10 (PIA)--- Members of the 2018 Search for Outstanding Volunteers- Technical Working Group is set to conduct field validation for the nine regional nominees of the search.

In a coordination meeting held onJuly 23, 2018, Annie Deputado, the secretariat of the Regional Search Committee led the evaluation of the documents of the nominees.

She noted that there are seven nominees under the Individual Category and two nominees under the Organization Category.

After thorough evaluation of the nomination forms and other documents submitted, the TWG members agreed that all nominees be validated personally this August.

Nominees for Individual-Adult Category include Dr. Roel Cagape of General Santos City, Norma Adamat of Kidapawan City, Jovito Liwat of Banisilan, North Cotabato, Lily Abella Mocles of General Santos City, Jocelyn Aquiatan of Kidapawan City, and Michael Angelo Yambok of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.

Kenjave Mark Parlero of Koronadal City is the only nominee for Individual-Youth Category.

On the other hand, under the Organization Category, the nominees are the Sociology Club of the Mindanao State University-General Santos City, and the Inter-Cultural Organizations' Network for Solidarity and Peace, Inc. of Kidapawan City.

Deputado saidthat after the field validation,chosen nominees will be endorsed to the national level for the screening of winners.

National winners will be recognized in Manila through the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency.

Ma. Lulu Valencia, chief economic development specialist of the National Economic and Development Authorityexplainedthe search aims to highlight and recognize the efforts of individuals and organizations as partners of the government in pushing for inclusive growth and development of the nation.
