TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Dec. 4 (PIA) -- Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Oscar Albayalde in his visit at the Police Regional Office No. 2 yesterday, Dec 3., led the blessing and inauguration of the facilities of the Police Regional Office here.
Albayalde, who was the guest of honor in the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas decorations at the PRO-2, led the blessing and inauguration of the facilities in Camp Adduru, which include the newly rehabilitated grandstand, newly constructed Adoration Chapel, Administration Building expansion project, and other rehabilitation projects damaged by typhoon Rosita earlier.
During his visit, he turned over 300 units caliber 5.56 Galil Ace; 180 units caliber 5.56 Emtan, 350 units 9mm pistol, 15 units Negev 5.56 mm, 10 units 7.62 mm, 240 pieces bandoliers for M16 rifles and 230 pieces tactical sling in order to beef up police firepower.
The PNP chief also witnessed the ceremonial turn over of a symbolic key to the four newly constructed Community Police Action Center (COMPAC) of Solana Police Station, and signing of deed of donation and turn-over of hospital equipment at the Regional Health Service.

In his message, Albayalde said PNP will intensify its offensive operations against insurgents.
"I want all PNP units to conduct counter actions against fighting an offensive insurgence aid as collecting all firearms and equipment of police and military targets through ambush and targets," Albayalde said.
Albayalde also reminded all PNP units to be proactive in their efforts and be prepared and alert to respond to all incidents requiring police action.
"I don't want any more casualties to the PNP side. I urge every member of the PRO2 to continue to render your full support and cooperation to your leadership as I expect all your commander to enhance and inculcate initiative, courtesy and respect among all personnel," Albayalde added.
For his part, PRO-2 regional Director PCSupt. Jose Mario M. Espino expressed his gratitude to Albayalde, Engr. Danilo D.
