TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, June 11 (PIA) - Jobseekers and business entrepreneurs are invited to participate in the Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan job and business fair that will be conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in line with the celebration of the 121st anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.
"The event which will be held at the People's Gymnasium in Tuguegarao City will offer local and overseas jobs," DOLE Regional Director lawyer Sarah Buena Mirasol said.
The local job opportunities with the most number of vacancies include sales associate, cashier, dining and kitchen staff, service crew, store manager, sales clerk, promodizer, distributor sales personnel and driver.
As of the recent count, there are 14 local and 15 overseas employers who will participate in the event.
Meanwhile, the DTI will set up an assistance desk for those who want to seek for technical assistance on business application and consultancy.
DTI Asst. Regional Director Ma. Salvacion Castillejos said they also invited suppliers and business establishments to join in the caravan and to offer big discounts to clients particularly on school supplies and other commodities.
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) likewise urged employers to avail of the opportunity of free technical assistance on how to craft incentive scheme for their employees.
RTWPB Board Secretary Heidelwina Taroza called for bus operators to get the chance to receive assistance in their compensation scheme as this is a requirement in the renewal of their franchise. (MDCT/GVB/PIA 2-Cagayan)
