BALANGA CITY, June 25 (PIA) -- Bataan Provincial Youth Council (BPYC) will hold a Dialogue on Peer Pressure on July 16 in an effort to curb crimes involving the youth in the province.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Head Marilyn Tigas said about 120 participants who are members of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP)-Bataan Chapter will be invited to join the activity.
"The council has formed this event due to rising crimes including those cases of depression and suicidal issues among youth in the province as per report from the Philippine National Police (PNP)," Tigas added.
Representatives from the Commission on Population and Development and PNP will serve as guest speakers during the event.
Other activities to be conducted by BPYC for the youth sector include Participatory Leadership and Development Training, Youth Congress, and seminars focusing on youth empowerment. (CLJD/MJSD-PIA 3)
