Phase 2 of Dalnacan-Mangali CMGP road project starts

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, Aug 16 (PIA) - - Implementation of Phase 2 of the upgrading and improvement of the Dalnacan-Mangali via Taloctoc provincial road will start upon issuance to the contractor of the notice to proceed.

Department of the Interior and Local Government Provincial Director Mayer Max Adong said the amount of Php120 million allotted from the Local Government Support Fund-Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (LGSF-CMGP) for the concreting of another 4.64 kilometer of said road was already downloaded to the province .

He said the project had its ground-breaking before the 2019 mid-term national and local elections simultaneous with the inauguration of the completed Phase 1 of the road project.

It can be recalled that the concreting of several meters of the entrance of the road in the Mabaca (Se-et) section and improvement of another 2.18 kilometers were funded by the Cordillera Highland Agricultural Management Program.

One of the economic agenda of the Duterte administration highlights the creation of reforms in governance, which focuses on the implementation of road projects under the LGSF - CMGP Program.

In another development, Provincial Engineer Proceso Bayubay of the Provincial Engineering Office informed that their office proposed five projects to be funded from CMGP. These are the Pinagan-Magnao provincial road, Liwan West-Anonang, Pinukpuk Junction-Pakawit-Bayaw-Dugpa, Mallango-Belong-Sumadel, and the Balanty-Dao-angan road.

There are other CMGP projects completed in the province that earned for the provincial local government unit the recognition as best in CMGP implementation in the region in terms of performance and 7th in the country.

A documentary film on its good practices was done last week on implemented CMGP projects.
