KALIBO, Aklan, Sept. 16 (PIA6) -- The Provincial Government of Aklan, five Aklan towns and one Government Owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC) were hailed here by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for being Bronze Awardees in Western Visayas for meeting Maturity Level II of the four core Human Resource Systems under the Prime HRM.
The congratulatory remark came from Dir. Evelyn N. Ejar, Director II of the CSC Field Office here, when she spoke before provincial officials, department heads and employees of the Provincial Government and heads and employees of national government agencies holding office in the vicinity of the Provincial Capitol, as guest speaker during this week's flag raising ceremonies to usher in the celebration of the 119th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.
Ejar cited the Provincial Government of Aklan for being the first LGU to be awarded the Bronze Award in Region 6 in 2017 together with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 6 and the Carlos Hilado State University in Negros Occidental.
In the same opportunity, she congratulated the local government units of Kalibo, Malay, Buruanga, Tangalan and Malinao, and the Metro Kalibo Water District for garnering the same award in 2018.
"Of the 12 awardees for 2018 in Region 6, 6 agencies came from Aklan and I'm sure there's more to come because of the strong Aklan Council of Human Resource Management Practitioners through the spirit of 'Pagbueuligan.' I'm very happy to note, and the Provincial Government of Aklan should be proud, that the Provincial Human Resource and Management Office (PHRMO) is now aiming and preparing for the next higher level of Maturity Level 3 for the Silver Award," Ejar said.
She expressed confidence that with everybody doing their share in the strict implementation and compliance of the different indicators of the PRIME-HRM, this will not be far behind.
She also stressed the need for unity and integrity for an organization's growth and development.
"Without integration, cooperation, and teamwork, an organization cannot have the strength and power to forge ahead and make a sustainable progress," she added.
She also cited the State of the Province Address (SOPA) of Governor Florencio T. Miraflores as a clear manifestation of how victorious are the officials and employees of the province in achieving their targets, and acknowledged too the Aklan-based national government agencies, the GOCCs, GFIs, the state university and the private sector for their own laurels to share.
"Civil Service at 119: Upholding Integrity and Building a High-trust Society" is this year's theme of the 119th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service. (JBG/VGV/PIA6 Aklan)
