Sipalay City mayor Maria Gina Lizares said the orientation aims to to level off with all the stakeholders to ensure the success of the clearing operations.

"The city government of Sipalay saw that there is a need to thoroughly educate our barangay counterparts of the City Anti-Drug Council," Lizares said assuring support to the barangay councils since most of the documentation process rests on them.

Meanwhile, none of the Sipalay City employees tested positive in the random drug testing of 115 local government employees prior to the drug clearing orientation.

"This clean random drug testing result proves the efforts of the local government is paying off. We are planning on making this random checks more frequent as we aim to set example to the locals," Lizares added.

Sipalay City Anti-Drug Abuse Council is implementing the CBRP for first batch of persons who used drugs from the six barangays and the council plans to conduct second set of CBRP in 2020. *(LTP/EAD-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
