Head of Marketing & Sales, Captain Ruel Rombaoa reveals that based from survey there will be shortage of pilot in the next five years and if the country cannot put up more pilot schools that can provide world class pilot training the country will not catch up with the demand.

They are campaigning to encourage more students to enroll including the women to join the pilot training. About ten students of Southern City Colleges (SCC) School of Aviation, the first aviation school in Zamboanga Peninsula will have an opportunity to be trained in a world class institution in the country after their graduation.

SCC School of Aviation officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AAG-Phils. where the parties have agreed in principle to enter into a first officer transition course for an Airbus 320 Rating, whereby students of the SCC School of Aviation will have a chance to proceed to AAG-Phils. and be trained as prominent Airbus 320-Rated pilots.

President of SCC School of Aviation Edwin Caliolio emphasized that they aim to have more Zamboangueno pilots who will be flying around the world carrying the Philippine Flag. Although the pilot training is costly, one of the goals of Caliolio is to give opportunities not only to those who can afford but make it available to everyone.

Capt. Rambaoa also shared that they are working out with a 'Study Now Pay Later' campaign which the SCC School of Aviation is also interested to impart and offer scholarship programs to those who dream of becoming a pilot.
