ATI offers free agri seminars for metro folks

QUEZON CITY, 20 Jan. (PIA) - To continuously promote agriculture in the metropolis, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) releases its schedule of free seminars for this year.

The seminars are open to all interested individuals that will be conducted monthly at the Agricultural Training Institute Central Office, Elliptical Road, Diliman in Quezon City.

To start the year, ATI will conduct a Beekeeping seminar on January 24, Friday.

Seminar on Plant Propagation and Nursery Management will be held on February 21 and Corn By-Product Utilization and Processing on March 13.

Bonsai enthusiasts will surely enjoy ATI's Bonsai Making and Dish Gardening seminar happening on April 17, while extra income will also pave way for entrepreneurs thru the Meat Processing seminar happening on May 8.

Poultry and livestock enthusiasts will have a chance to know more about Free Range Chicken Production on June 5.

On July 10, Culinary and Medicinal Herbs Production seminar will take place and Coconut Production and Processing on August 14.

Meanwhile, Fish Farming and Processing is set on September 11; Organic Vegetable Production and Processing and Processing focusing on Salad and Dressing Preparation seminar will take place on October 9; and Rice Based Food Processing on November 13.

To cap the year-long events, ATI will hold a seminar on Agricultural Marketing (Digital Marketing and Market Linkage) on December 11, 2020.

Registration starts earlier than 8:00 AM, while the session lasts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Reservation of seat is not allowed. Interested participants are suggested to come earlier.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring clean, empty 1.5-liter plastic bottles which will be donated to the ATIng Gulayan ng DA garden.
