DAVAO CITY, Feb 14 (PIA) - The "9th I do I do Pag-Ibig" has given an opportunity to 100 couples from all over the Davao Region to say their I dos.

The said event was hosted by the Pag-Ibig Fund to give Pag-Ibig members a chance to put up their own family and also teach them financial literacy by forgoing the expensive cost of traditional Filipino weddings.

Area Head of the Southern Mindanao Members Service Group for the Pag-Ibig fund Manolito Olegario voiced out his support for the newly-weds and how this can be a great opportunity to teach each and every one of them the value of financial literacy.

"The family under the constitution must be strengthened by the government so Pag-Ibig contributes to this by encouraging savings for our workers," Olegario said.

With the theme Filipiniana, the traditional 'kasalan' was pushed by the Pag-Ibig fund at this year's Araw ng Pag-Ibig program.

"This year, we have the theme Filipiniana to promote among millennials the value of a traditional Filipino wedding and also inspire nationalism in young families," Olegario said. (PIA/Kevin Caro)
