BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- October 29 marks International Internet Day. Celebrated globally on October 29 every year, this special day marks the sending of the first electronic message which was transferred from one computer to another in 1969.

Over the years, the Internet has revolutionized the world by becoming an integral part of our personal and professional lives and it is hard to imagine what the world would be like without it.

Let's seize the occasion to celebrate all the remarkable changes the Internet has brought to our lives, and try to utilize the power of the Internet in a more positive and useful way in the future.
