CALOOCAN CITY, Oct. 30 (PIA) -- Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque on Thursday announced that the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has created the COVID-19 Immunization Program Management organizational structure.

"The COVID-19 Immunization Program Management Organizational Structure will be under the National Task Force Against COVID-19 with the Department of Health (DOH) as its lead," Roque said in his Malacanang Press briefing on Friday.

"The DOH has been directed to immediately convene the Task Group COVID-19 Immunization Management and establish sub-task groups as necessary. The creation of a Task Force is to ensure the successful and efficient deployment of COVID-19 vaccines to target population," he added.

Meanwhile, Roque said the IATF approved the resumption of the face-to-face clinical internship program of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine.

"The Philippine General Hospital will conduct this face-to-face program," he said.

Also finalized was the quarantine classification to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) of Metro Manila, Batangas, Iloilo City, Bacolod City, Tacloban City, Iligan City and Lanao del Sur. All other areas are under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), he added. (PIA NCR)
