CALOOCAN CITY, Nov. 25 (PIA) -- President Rodrigo R. Duterte is offering outright reward money for those who will report anomalies in the government or those involved in graft and corruption.

During his public address on Monday evening, the President announced giving a P20,000 incentive for "tipsters" who can give the names involved in corruption.

On the other hand, Duterte promises a P10,000 reward money for those who will report petty graft.

He once again called on the public to immediately report corruption in government to authorities.

The Chief Executive said he is willing to offer reward money to know the identity of corrupt officials and expose anomalous government projects and deals as the his administration intensified its fight against graft and corruption in the government.

To recall, Duterte recently tasked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to lead an inter-agency task force to carry out bureaucracy-wide corruption probe.

According to the President, the government will also give protection to those who will provide tips on corruption in the bureaucracy.

Meanwhile, Duterte also read the names of the government workers who were dismissed, suspended, or facing investigation over alleged corruption in the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as part of the government's fight against corruption.

He reiterated his vow to "go after people who are into graft and corruption" in the last two years of his term. (PIA NCR)
