PASIG CITY, Nov. 30 (PIA) --The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) recently opened its isolation facility located at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan in Taguig City.
Philippine National Police chief Police General Debold Sinas and NCRPO chief Police Brigadier General Vicente Danao, Jr. led the blessing of the isolation facility.
"We are optimistic that this strategy will reduce COVID-19 cases among our personnel with the increase in our healthcare capacity. These interventions are still the best way when dealing with COVID-19," said Sinas.
The PNP chief added that the observance of minimum public health standards is still very important to prevent the transmission of the virus.
"Our personnel need to strictly adhere to the minimum public health standards of wearing mask, hand hygiene, and physical distancing, upang maprotektahan hindi lang ating mga sarili, kundi pati ang mga mahal natin sa buhay o ang miyembro ng ating pamilya."
According to the NCRPO, the newly blessed isolation facility is made of five container vans with a 10-bed capacity, each with respective comfort rooms, oxygen and air-conditioned unit. It is designed to isolate policewomen who are pregnant, positive of contacting the corona virus and are experiencing mild symptoms like difficulty in breathing.
The facility was constructed to temporarily house and immediately attend the emergency needs of the police patients while waiting for a vacant hospital to accommodate them. (PIA-NCR)
