CALOOCAN CITY, Jan. 23 (PIA) - The City Government of Manila's Bureau of Permits has announced that their Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) for the renewal of business permits is now open every Saturday and Sunday.
Bureau of Permits Director Levi Facundo said the move is being done to accommodate more taxpayers and in order to avoid overcrowding in the renewal area.
"We want to give our taxpayers the opportunity to come earlier and avoid overcrowding specially on the last day," Facundo said
"We are still under quarantine and our capacity is strictly monitored for everyone's safety," he added.
Facundo encouraged business taxpayers to "take advantage of these extra days" particulary those who need to pick-up their unclaimed permits or do RE-SOA for those who didn't make the discount deadline.
Facundo also urged the public to use the Go Manila app in processing the renewal and application of their permits in order to limit their exposure to COVID-19.
As of Thursday, January 21, a total of 37,600 business permits renewal have been processed while a total of 538 new applications have been received at BOSS.
The said data were on top of the 3,555 processed using the Go Manila application.
According to Facundo, BOSS operations at the 4th floor level of SM Manila starts at 10am and ends at 4pm every weekends.
On weekdays BOSS opens at 8am to 5pm. (MPIO/PIA-NCR)
