OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, Jan. 25 (PIA)--To help boost sales and product awareness, Otop Hub Misamis Occidental through and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Occidental launched the OTOP shopping.
"OTOP shopping will be an additional medium for our MSMEs to carry on with their production whilst we at Otop Hub shall focus on online and offline marketing of their products," Otop Hub General Manager Jeffklein Glodove.
He said this will also be a potent medium to encourage local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to have their products assessed and developed through the Otop next gen program of the DTI.
Over 60 products that were processed and developed from Misamis Occidental are featured for this project.
To participate in OTOP next-gen, Glodove said product development through assessment, consultation and triage (ACT Session) is the key to having their products part of the project.
This means that all products whether food or non-food should undergo an assessment before it becomes market-ready.
OTOP shopping was filmed onsite at the OTOP Hub on wheels at "Kapitolyo Misamis Occidental" in Tangub City.
Kapitolyo is the Provincial Booth at the Christmas village in Tangub City through the leadership of Mayor Jennifer Tan and was provided for by Governor Phillip Tan to feature all the products of Misamis Occidental in partnership with the Provincial Tourism Office.
Shoppers from OTOP shopping can purchase through the hotline real-time or through the website, www.otophubozamiz.com and social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram @otophubozamiz.
The online live selling session is hosted by Cielo Cervantes-Revelo, a Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) graduate and owner of Senina Fashion, Andy Wong, an Ozamiz-based vlogger and influencer, and Glodove, MODA designer.
OTOP Shopping will also be premiered, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Otop Philippines Hub Misamis Occidental page on Facebook and with a simultaneous broadcast on local TV channels in Ozamiz City, Oroquieta and Tangub City. (OTOP Hub MisOcc/PIA Misamis Occidental)
