91st IB participates in Dingalan's Serbisyo Caravan

BALER, Aurora, Jan. 27 (PIA) -- Army 91st Infantry Battalion (91st IB) participated in the Serbisyo Caravan of the municipal government of Dingalan in barangay Ibona.

This is part of the Retooled Community Support Program that is anchored on President Duterte's Executive Order No. 70 which is to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.

91st IB Commander Lt. Col. Reandrew Rubio said their unit together with the local government units, agencies, and partners for peace are united in delivering the needed service to the people.

"It is also our mandate to bring various services of the government closer to the villagers," he stressed.

RCSP aims to address the community's identified issues by closing the governance, security, and development gaps; providing the community their needs; and ensuring sustained development and peace are promoted.

Rubio shared that 91st IB personnel provided security, personnel assistance, and various services.

"We offered a free haircut to a total of 57 individuals, 36 individuals benefited in the repair of appliances, 103 individuals got blood pressure examination and 350 individuals benefited from the feeding program," the official said.

Meanwhile, a total of 842 individuals benefited from the services offered by the various offices of the municipal government namely Business One Stop Shop, Municipal Treasury Office, Municipal Agriculture's Office, Assessors' Office and Public Employment Services Office as well as national government agencies including Public Attorney's Office, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Social Welfare and Development and Philippine National Police.

"Building a strong partnership with various stakeholders, national government agencies, local government units, and the community through the delivery of much-needed basic social services are useful tools in ending the local armed conflict," Rubio stressed. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
