PASIG CITY, Feb. 25 (PIA) -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority National Capital Region (TESDA NCR) continues its distribution of toolkits to graduates of the 2019 Special Training for Employment Program (STEP).
The TESDA-NCR MuntiParLasTaPat (Muntinlupa, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Taguig, Pateros) District Office distributed toolkits to 67 STEP graduates who recently completed training in Cake Making (Leading to Bread and Pastry NC II), and Bread Making (Leading to Bread and Pastry Production NC II).
Paranaque Representative Eric Olivares, together with TESDA-NCR Regional Director Florencio Sunico, Jr., District Director Marichelle De Guzman, and Councilor Binky Favis led the distribution of toolkits to the graduates.
RD Sunico and District Director de Guzman recognized the diligence of the scholars and advised them to take advantage of their learning and starter toolkits to jumpstart their livelihood.
Likewise, Rep. Olivares commended the graduates and shared their available employment opportunities, as well as further assistance that they provide for the constituents of Paranaque City.
STEP is a community-based specialty training program that addresses the specific skills needed by the communities and promote employment, particularly through entrepreneurial, self-employment and service-oriented activities.
It aims to provide skills and training opportunities for the beneficiaries in the barangays/communities to make them employable and productive. (PIA NCR)
