CEBU CITY, Feb. 23 (PIA) -- The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) recently launched a new online facility in its website to provide registered members with safe, easy, and hassle-free access to their own membership and contribution records.
Philhealth-7 Public Relations Officer Dina Cinchez, said during the Kapihan sa PIA that this facility allows the registered members to view and verify the accuracy of the information reflected in their membership profile.
It also allow the members to print their Member Data Record (MDR).
It also enables the members to view their contribution history to see if they are updated with their premiums, Cinchez added.
This facility dubbed as "Philhealth Member Portal" can be accessed online on the Philhealth website (www.philhealth.gov.ph) for easier and comfortable transaction as well as to avoid the members from the risk of COVID-19 transmission, she continued.
Cinchez said under the Universal Health Care (UHC), all Filipinos are now entitled to avail of Philhealth's National Health Insurance program.
It seeks to ensure that all Filipinos have access to a comprehensive health services without financial hardship.
Cinchez emphasized the implementation of the No Balance Billing Policy which provides that no other fees or expenses shall be charged or be paid for by the indigent/sponsored, lifetime/senior citizens and registered kasambahay that will be admitted in basic or ward.
With the UHC, PhilHealth members will also be classified into two groups: direct contributors refer to those who have the capacity to pay premiums while the indirect contributors refer to all others not included as direct contributors whose premiums are subsidized by the national government.
She also announced that Philhealth offices in Central Visayas are accommodating registration and data amendment transactions via email during this pandemic.
