DAVAO CITY- The city government targets to inoculate at least 1,000 Dabawenyos in its vaccination rollout on September 18 at the People's Park here.
Dr. Michelle Schlosser, Davao City Covid-19 Task Force said in a radio interview the vaccination activity will cater to Dabawenyos from various sectors.
"Walk-ins will be allowed during the vaccination rollout, which will start from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. You may also bring family members and housemates to be vaccinated as well," she said.
Schlosser encouraged the Dabawenyos 18 years old and above to avail themselves of the free vaccination drive.
"I hope that you will take this opportunity to get vaccinated because we continue to observe that some people are still in doubt about the efficacy of the vaccine," she added.
She also hoped that through the continuous information dissemination of the city government on different platforms, more Dabawenyos would be educated and appreciate the importance and benefits of getting vaccinated to fight the unseen enemy and protect them from its serious effects.
The city government here targets to vaccinate 70 percent of the city's 1.8 million population, which is equivalent to 1.2 million to achieve population protection.
However, Schlosser clarified that the speed of the vaccination rollout will still depend on the available supply allocated by the national government. (PNA)
