Philippines' manufacturing output sees growth in February

MANILA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' manufacturing output growth saw a rise in both value and volume of production indices in February, according to data released by the Philippine Statistics Authority on Tuesday.

The value of production index (VaPI) for the manufacturing section registered an annual increase of 4.6 percent in February, up from 2.6 percent in January.

The volume of production index (VoPI) recorded a year-on-year increase of 3.2 percent in February, up from 1.3 percent in January.

In February 2025, the VaPI for manufacturing declined 1 percent year over year. In February 2025, the VoPI for manufacturing registered a 2-percent annual decrease.
