MANILA, July 6 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out in a two-story house before dawn Sunday in San Mateo town in Rizal province, east of Manila, killing three residents and injuring another, the Bureau of Fire Protection said.
According to the bureau, the fire, which started at around 2:00 a.m. local time, trapped and killed a 60-year-old woman, her 30-year-old daughter and the daughter's 28-year-old husband.
The 64-year-old husband of the woman was also injured after jumping out of the burning house, the bureau said. He reportedly sustained first-degree burns.
Firefighters declared the fire out about an hour later.
The bureau is still investigating the cause of the fire.
