The China Coast Guard (CCG) on Friday urged the Philippines to immediately cease infringement activities, provocations and false accusations, vowing to continue lawful enforcement in the waters of Ren'ai Jiao in the South China Sea.

CCG spokesperson Gan Yu said that the Philippines' grounded vessel No. 57 recently released two small boats that dangerously approached Chinese coast guard ships despite repeated warnings, prompting lawful and appropriate action by the CCG.

"We urge the Philippines to stop all infringements, provocations and false accusations. The China Coast Guard will continue to enforce the law in the waters of Ren'ai Jiao to firmly safeguard China's sovereignty and maritime rights," Gan said.
