6.1-magnitude quake hits 71 km ESE of Sarangani, Philippines: USGS

NEW YORK, June 27 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted 71 km ESE of Sarangani, Philippines at 23:07:10 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 101.6 km, was initially determined to be at 5.28 degrees north latitude and 126.10 degrees east longitude.
