19 alleged anti-gov't armed members killed in clash with Philippine army

MANILA, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Nineteen alleged members of the Philippine anti-government armed group New People's Army were killed in an encounter with government troops in central Philippines, local media reported.

Citing authorities, the reports said the clash is part of security operations by the Philippine Army aimed at maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of communities in the area.
